Higher Education Initiative​

We are proud to announce the TMHU Higher Education Initiative! The original mission of TMHU was to provide for educational needs, per child, through the US equivalency of high school. This has been successfully accomplished for our older students. Now many of our qualified, graduating students are eager for the next steps. Our goal is to raise funds to send our TMHU kids to a university or trade school. For around $2000 per semester, some of these universities provide graduate or doctoral level education.

Our students consistently test well and achieve high marks to not only make them eligible for reputable universities, but also be awarded with merit scholarships.  

 

As of February 2026, 6 TMHU students have begun their studies at Makerere and Kampala International University (KIU).  Makerere is considered the #1 university in Uganda and East Africa. KIU is ranked number one in private schools in Uganda, and number two as best overall Universities in Uganda (out of 60).  We are so proud of our students' accomplishments and hope to build upon the $78,000 this initiative has raised on their behalf.
