Christmas in Uganda (Annual)
Each fall we fundraise for the much anticipated annual TMHU Christmas Party held in December. The event is at the home of Pastor Peter where his wife Maureen and their friends prepare a large meal to feed the children and others in the community in need.
During this joyous celebration, each child receives a new outfit, shoes, and a small gift. Their mentors, Fred and Ivan, are also remembered with special gifts for them and their families.
Fund Allocation
Each Child will need $100 as follows:
-
New Shoes - $30
-
New Clothes - $25
-
Something Fun - $ 15
-
Christmas Dinner - $15
-
Empower to give back to the community - $15
You can also choose to support one of the four categories below!
Fred & Becky
Donations go towards household and personal needs for these in-country volunteers. Fred has been a HUGE help from the very beginning of this organization. He was the only help until Ivan was brought on board. Fred is the mainstay for all of our mission trips and he has helped to train and support Ivan during his journey with us. Fred's wife, Becky, has helped us with our mentorship program (Days for Girls) with the young girls in set an example for spiritual and emotional health. We love this duo and want to give them something special!
Pastor Peter and Family
These funds are to provide the following for Pastor Peter, his wife and children: New shoes, clothes, personal care items and Christmas dinner. Without the family of Pastor Peter and his community, our kids wouldn't have a safe place to stay during the school holidays. Pastor Peter has been with these children and TMHU from the beginning. He and his family continue to support the children, physically and spiritually, while providing them with continued community support in the village.
Ivan Steve
Funds go towards household needs and personal needs as well. Without Ivan, we wouldn't have the "eyes and ears" on the ground. He serves as our in-country child coordinator, visiting and checking in on our children often. He encourages them to study, helps them navigate illnesses and challenges, and is a valuable mentor to the children.
Transportation & Additional Community Needs
Transportation, Medical Care and Gifts are needed for those living within the community. We want our Christmas in Uganda to be an inclusive events for the community our children live within. Small or Large donations are all appreciated.
