President
Bryan Klinchuch
Bryan Klinchuch is a dedicated individual with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children. As a co-founder, board member, and current President of TMHU, Bryan brings his business background and expertise in real estate research and development to the organization. Bryan's commitment to helping children goes beyond his professional life. He has actively volunteered as a coach at the Y, using his skills to mentor and guide young individuals. Furthermore, Bryan's desire to make a difference led him to found the mission in Uganda, where he tirelessly works to improve the lives of those in need. Although TMHU may be a smaller organization, Bryan believes in the power of its impact. He recognizes that even reaching a few individuals can create a significant change in their lives. Originally from Idaho, Bryan has developed connections and friendships in North Carolina and Utah. Currently residing in Texas, he cherishes the time spent with his wife, three children, and four furry companions, including two dogs and two cats. Bryan's dedication, business acumen, and passion for helping children make him an invaluable asset to the non-profit board, ensuring that TMHU continues to make a difference in the lives of those it serves.
Vice President
Eleanor Meyer
Eleanor has been directly involved with TMHU since its inception in 2014. A nurse by trade and devoted wife and mother for over 22 years, Eleanor joined TMHU as a sponsor hoping to play a small part in giving these once abandoned children a happy, bright and hope-filled future. She immediately found that her small footprint had a much bigger impact than she ever imagined possible. "The unique grass-roots nature of this organization makes deeply meaningful and personal relationships with our kids and mentors possible. They have changed our lives as much as we have changed theirs." Eleanor joined the board in 2016 after her trip to Uganda. She and her daughter Helen have been to Uganda together 5 times since 2016 and they don't plan on stopping any time soon. Eleanor lives in Winston-Salem, NC with her husband Joe. They have 3 children Helen (20), Emory (18), JB (14) and 2 dogs.
Board Member
Elizabeth Myers
Elizabeth’s family has been sponsoring Joyce since 2018. She joined the TMHU board after her first trip to Uganda with her daughter in 2023. Meeting Joyce, the other kids and their mentors Fred and Ivan, Elizabeth felt even more committed to the mission. She discovered the people of Uganda truly have “sunshine in their souls” and is anxious for her next trip this summer. Elizabeth and her husband Michael live in Winston-Salem, NC with their two children, Mary Bevins (18), Thompson (14) and their dog Winnie (8).
Board Member
Cathy Dennen
Cathy is a recent addition to the TMHU family after her daughter, Kate, joined Eleanor and Elizabeth on this life changing 2023 trip.
As a mom she has always been passionate for children's causes and is grateful for the opportunity to work with TMHU. With her masters degree in Nonprofit Management, her former job was a volunteer coordinator, fundraiser and grant writer. Cathy understands the creativity, courage and fierce compassion it takes to run an organization that seeks to do much with limited resources. She's witnessed the TMHU mission gain great momentum within the last 6 months and excited to see more fruits from this talented group's labor.

TMHU Mentors
Ivan Mwambusa
I'm a formerly sponsored child, through Compassion International! My heart has always bled for the young souls especially those that are in need. I personally know how it feels to stay an empty stomach for days, putting on two pairs of clothes for a month without washing them. I know what it means to see others feeling love from their parents, and you don't see any shoulder to cry on.
And finally you get someone to stand with you all that irrespective of stature! So my passion rose from the grassroots of poverty and hope being built inside of me!
I was captured by the generosity and heartfelt kindness of the THMU family and the love!! So I really loved to join this prestigious organization to help fulfil their mission and objectives!
TMHU Mentors
Fred Nkoba
My name is Fred Nkoba. I currently serve as a mentor to our TMHU kids. I also tend to the TMHU Operations here in Uganda.

Originally, I am from one of the most notorious slums in Kampala. My life was forever changed when I became a sponsor child and was able to spend time in the United States with the African Boys Choir. When I returned to Uganda I received an excellent education, attended university and played soccer for my University.

I began a life long mission of giving back and volunteered at a local orphanage. I met Bryan Klinchuch when he and his wife traveled to Uganda to adopt their daughter. When the children of the orphanage were abandoned I reached out to Bryan for help.

I'm so proud of the progress our children have made and the leaders they have become. I look forward to continuing to work with them as they embark on their newest endeavor - education at the University or trade school.
