This Christmas you have the extraordinary opportunity to purchase a personal gift for a child in Uganda! Whether you are a sponsor, a friend of TMHU or you are just stopping by, you can choose any child and donate to buy one, two or three gifts listed beside their name. These gifts will be purchased in Uganda and delivered with love by our "boots on the ground" friends. Christmas dinner will include chicken, beef, rice, matooke (cooked bananas), soda and more!  They so look forward to this dinner every year.
 

This will be the sixth year we have added an item to empower the children to give something back to their community.  Inflation has not spared Uganda and costs for essentials have skyrocketed.  This year the empowerment gift will most likely be used to help a local family with a bag of rice, some beans, or other essential items.  Our team there will aid in this process. 

 

This is exciting! I can already picture in my mind the delight and surprise and joy that the children will experience as they gather near Christmas Day. These kids see Jesus in you. You represent Him when you love them like this. They are amazed by how much people care and know them by name. How I wish I could be there to see these children give back to the community and their extended family; whether it is food or an item as simple as bug spray for the dung-mud huts to keep the ants out...trust me when I tell you this will go a long way towards helping a member of their community and teaching the children to give back to others less fortunate than them.
